• Manage planning & logistics functions in East Africa and outliers in the SA cluster (planning, Production Scheduling, Warehousing, Distribution, Purchasing).• Implement the Operations budgets for the area of responsibility consistent to input and targets• Set up quality improvement and KAIZEN programs following KPOs• Managing & Identifying unfavourable deviations to budget/ quality improvement and take corrective actions and report results to SSA & AMEA Operations organisation• Supervise all contract manufacturers and ensure compliance with contract terms and RB policies.• Support the region purchasing and logistic strategy and actions through the local organisations• Ensure adherence to all company policies & procedures in conjunction with the regulations in force within the geographies of operation • Build up and maintain clear communication and close co-operation with all relevant internal (e.g. Divisions, R&D, Operations) and external (e.g. suppliers, unions, local authorities) interfaces• Lead employees in the area of responsibility in agreement with supervisor (individual development, motivation, assessment and feedback)• Ensure adequate staffing in the area of responsibility approved by the AMEA Operations Organisation

•Responsible for handling 10 Brands comprising of 200+ SKUs across 5 countries.•Lead S&OP cycles, Demand Planning Meetings, & Business Unit Meetings for the East Africa Region•Forecast management with sales and marketing teams. Conducting monthly demand review session with all stakeholders to agree on 12 months SKU-wise shipment forecast •Ensure the volumes forecast is in line with the sales and marketing building blocks, agreed in S&OP. •Perform weekly monitoring of the forecast against shipments and IMS, and modify the quarterly forecast to account for supply constraints and changing market dynamics.•Coach the distributor on ordering process and to develop their capability so they may propose order.•Monitor distributor stocks and IMS dynamics on weekly/monthly basis•Track order received vs. forecast from distributors so to ensure right mix is received from them through portfolio management.•Drive improvements within the S&OP process to contribute towards optimization of the process, customer service, supply chain efficiencies, and improve net working capital.•Work as value adding facilitator between commercial and supply to ensure timely stock deliveries are made to meet monthly sales targets•Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.•Manage the Logistics and Customer Service function to ensure achievement of customer service levels.•Interaction with Regulatory bodies & authorities in respect of the Supply chain function. •Management of 3PL service providers in supply planning and phasing.•Direct & lead supply chain implementation of commercial projects

•Manage day to day Logistical and Warehousing operations, to ensure Business Sales Plan for Local and Export is met in a cost effective and efficient manner.•Managing Supply Chain and Logistics Contractors on site to ensure they accomplish their deliverables as agreed on the Service Level Agreements – (SLA’s).•Establish and Monitor Supply Chain and Logistics Key Performance Indicators – (KPI’s) and as well Ensure Daily, Weekly and Monthly Supply Chain and Logistics OTIF number is achieved above 95%.•Developing Warehouse and Logistics work plans & staff management.

-Advise on stock status while highlighting areas of risks and exposure with regard to raw materials and finished goods-Ensure adherence to procedure and processes on all sectional activities and reporting the same to the Supply Chain Manager.-Plan and chair monthly cross-functional meetings on stock run down plans
