Previously part of Christchurch Community Partnership Charity (past Director/Trustee from 2010 - 2012) whilst on the Board also set up DialABus Community Transport, Give and Gain Charity Shop, Christchurch Community Radio Club. Have been involved with FCS since its origination in early 2007, now independent, currently Chairman. This is the highest Honour the Borough can bestow on a serving Councillor for a one year duration, the Mayor is Chairman of the Full Council meetings and is the First Citizen of the Ancient Borough. Mainly now a ceremonial role, to promote the Borough and raise funds for numerous Charities. The position is proposed by an election of those of qualifying Councillors every year by their peers.

PACT is a government initiative bringing the local communities closer together, (voluntary position)., including Community Policing, part of the Safer Neighbourhood Team. It is made up from local Police, PCSO's, local Agencies, Councillors and other Partners in the Community. We discuss and set community priorities for engagement in the Community of West Christchurch. Holding regular street corner meetings at various locations or hot spots around the area, to communicate, inform and obtain information from the local residents on their views and issues, including antisocial behaviour. We work closely with the HomeWatch and circulated a number of Neighbourhood safety messages to the community to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in the area.

As a member of the CCP Board I was involved in setting up a number of projects from FCS the Friends of Christchurch Station and creating it into a self sustainable individual Charity in its own right, setup the Give and Gain Charity shop for the Partnership. Very involved in the project to start Dial a Bus project, designing the Bus specifications and policies for the operation, assisting in fund raising for project, organised and run it for it first 24 months with a number of volunteers and paid staff, which is still running by the Partnership as a successful Community Transport Scheme operating in Christchurch.Member of the "FAIRTRADE CHRISTCHURCH Panel" which also operates in Christchurch continuously since Christchurch joined as a FairTrade Town. Currently still a member today.
