Current- First established in 1926, the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) purpose, on behalf of its over 28,000 members, is to strengthen the profession and advance issues of social justice in Canada.
- Revived, renewed, and reunified the CASW national federation, doubling membership and revenue while continually improving members’ benefits and services.
- Established CASW as a leading advocate for progressive social, health, and economic policy through strategic partnerships and coalition building.
- Established Policy-Governance for Board Management and federation consensus decision making on issues of social, health and economic policy.
- Led the development and implementation of successive strategic plans that strengthened the profession and advanced its advocacy priorities while meaningfully upholding commitments to reconciliation, equity, diversity.
