Fred Pritzker represents individuals and families in significant personal injury and wrongful death cases throughout the United States. He is founder and president of the national personal injury and wrongful death law firm, Pritzker Hageman, P.A. His firm represents survivors of foodborne illness in cases involving pathogenic microorganisms and natural toxins. The firm is involved in virtually all national foodborne illness outbreaks. Mr. Pritzker and his law firm also focus on catastrophic burn, fire and explosion cases. Their recoveries on behalf of burn survivors include some of the largest awards ever received by gas explosion victims. He has been selected for inclusion in the current and past editions of The Best Lawyers in America and was named a "Super Lawyer" by Minnesota Super Lawyers magazine every year since the inception of the award. He was also named 2011, 2014 and 2015 Attorney of the Year by the Minnesota Lawyer newspaper. He is a former president of the Minnesota Association for Justice and a former governor of the American Association of Justice.Mr. Pritzker is also passionate about protecting and expanding the rights of people with disabilities and defending the civil rights of all Minnesotans. He has been an officer or director of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation, Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, and ARC Minnesota, among others. He and his wife, Renee, have endowed the Jacob E. Pritzker Fund to support the University of Minnesota Law School and the Minnesota Disability Law Center (MDLC) and help underwrite the Angelman Syndrome Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. Pritzker is also a current board member of the Minnesota ACLU Foundation.Mr. Pritzker obtained his B.A. with honors from Northwestern University in 1972 and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1976.
