Joint Warfighting Development efforts support the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commanders, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff in preparing for and conducting globally integrated operations with interagency, whole of government, allies and partners. JWD’s primary responsibility centers on developing the Joint warfighting concepts our Joint military will employ in the future. To meet its broad responsibilities JWD manages and employs capabilities and resources organized into four Divisions: Future Concepts, Joint Education and Doctrine, Joint Wargaming and Experimentation, and Allies and Partners Force Development. The JS J7 NATO Allied Command Transformation LNO also resides within DJ-7 to further provide linkages to our allies and partners. Our efforts include globally focused wargames; experimentation; tabletop exercises (TTX); and Joint, live, virtual, and constructive exercises to iteratively improve the Joint Warfighting Concept. Our efforts drive updates across doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P).
