Mr. Procter is charged with supporting the Milken student academic experience which includes curriculum articulation, planning and implementation, classroom instruction, the day to day school operations, and serving as a resource for the school administration. Serves as a mentor and trainer for all of the school leaders including Principals, Assistant Principals, and department chairs. In his role as Head of Athletics, Mr. Procter is responsible for the long range vision of athletics, ensuring that resources and facilities are appropriate to encourage student participation and enhance the students’ athletic experience.

As Executive Director of College and Community Partnerships, I worked to establish dynamic relationships with colleges, businesses, and community organizations to provide college exposure and/or a real world experience for our students prior to and after graduation. In my role as Head of Athletics, I was responsible for the long-range vision of athletics, ensuring that resources and facilities are appropriate to encourage student participation and enhance the students’ athletic experience.

Leading a high achieving and performing educational institution which has been touted as one of the very best in the country by Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report magazines. Leading 150 plus adults with 19 managers and 1400 students through the rigors of high school and producing graduates who matriculate to the best colleges in the country and perform admirably. Responsible for balancing and appropriately allocating a 20+ million dollar budget which includes salaries, facilities, capital improvements, fixed costs and discretionary spending.• Initiated several creative programs to enhance efficiency of spending. Cut costs and consistently achieved a balanced budget.• Leading the implementation of 21st Century Teaching and Learning throughout the curriculum with an emphasis on skill building and technology integration.• Assisted with strategic planning process to craft the financial and educational direction of the school district. The process included coordinating participation of all stakeholders and the community while engineering a “buy-in” from all of the constituencies represented.• Developed strategies for addressing the challenges presented by a diversifying population and assuring that the educational achievement gap was a point of emphasis.• Responsible for recruiting, securing, retaining, and evaluating staff. Established guidelines for staff retention and evaluation which assisted in identifying the most appropriate “fit” for the building or various departments. • Responsible for media relations, community affairs, customer service, fundraising, and allocation of funds.

Financial Analyst/Consultant – 1996 to 1997Constructed retirement plans (401K) for small business and provided solutions for the fundamental financial problems which prevent families from reaching their financial goals.• Independent contractor who was responsible for the operation of a small business including clientele development, consultation, personal financial plan development, implementation of agreed upon plan. Licensure: Life Insurance; Securities Series 6 & 63.• Developed Marketing and advertising plan necessary for establishing client base and completing sales.

Directed a Division 1 women’s basketball program including assistant coaches, support staff, and players.• Managed program budget including scholarships, equipment, travel, books and supplies, and salaries.• Responsible for recruiting student-athletes, player relations, scheduling classes, opponents, and practices, academic advising and retention, staff supervision, and counseling.• Also responsible for media relations, alumni relations, community/public relations, establishing connections with business and industry.• Took a program with years of losing records to the championship level. Best Division 1 record in the state of Michigan. Became winningest coach in program history with 93 wins. 1994 MCC Coach of the Year.
