I volunteer my time 2-3 days a week welcoming service personnel, their families, and military retirees waiting for outbound flights or for those awaiting to be picked up by their family members or commands. One of two designated photographers for USO PDX. The USO is a great place for people to volunteer time for our troops and their families.I also volunteer for Wounded Warriors and Home for Our Troops (HFOT)

Worked as a staff CT Tech in Oregon's largest Level One trauma center. Worked with 4, 16, 64, 128, 256 multi slice and PET/CT scanners.* Perform CT studies of the brain, chest, abdomen/pelvis, spinal column, Cardiac Calcium Scoring.* Perform CTAs, musculoskeletal, and numerous other common studies. * CT scans on PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners, SIM exams on radiation oncology patients. Able to work completely independent on all scans to * * * Created 3D and 4D images with related computer software packages. * * * * Started peripheral IVs for injecting examinations requiring contrast media.* Designated department research coordinator for all Research CT studies. * Assisted in the training of new CT Techs and student Radiologic technologists. * Assisted Staff Radiologists and Radiology residents during CT biopsies and drainages.

Staff CT Technologist in a large trauma center with a single GE800 axial scanner. Performed all duties of a CT Scan Tech to include daily warm-up procedures, scanning, performing ROIs on all abdominal exams and filming of procedures. Took calls every 3 days.Quit as I was returning to active duty Naval Service

Staff Radiologic Technologist at a medium sized community hospital. Performed all routine procedures, portable, and C-Arm exams and was one of two special procedure technologists. Worked with Franklin film changes, Cascade runoff units. Trained on GE 8800 and 9800 CT Scanners and worked independently.Wrote department Quality Assurance Manual and performed all Quality Control tests on 3 fixed x-ray rooms., quarterly, and annual testing of portable units, cassettes, lead aprons, gloves, and thyroid shields.

Worked as a staff Radiologic Technologist in a small community hospital just after being released from active duty Navy. Radiographed all outpatient and inpatients. Maintained processor control including weekly, daily, and monthly schedules. Took call 27 nights a month.
