I spearheaded the creation of an application for a California Energy Commission grant to install 218 EV chargers, solar, and storage in low-income, multi-family housing, to promote EV adoption. Helped develop a business case for a major corporation's 175 kW PV installation, facilitating a pilot V2G project for 250 EVs. I conducted microgrid system modeling using Xendee SW.The Center for Community Energy is accelerating sustainable local energy production and storage through education, research, advocacy, technical advice and consulting.

I made the most of this time to work with non-profits and become educated on climate mitigation and the energy transition. My division of Collins Aerospace was moved to Kansas during the Covid crisis. My daughter, with an intellectual disability, was in her final years of High School on Zoom. I made the decision to stay home and assist her in obtaining her HS diploma and to prepare for college. I also cared for my 100 year old mother who continues to do well.
