He learned to write in the third person as Editor or Publisher and columnist of numerous daily, weekly and monthly newsprint publications in Wisconsin, the California Bay Area and the California Central Coast. He has achieved honors and recognition locally and/nationally in the fields of language laboratory administration, management, development and design; state and local political campaign management; sales management; radio disc-jockey, news, commentary and talk show host; market research and analysis; land use planning and permit processing; registered advocate (lobbyist); citizen and business organization management and representation to protect property rights, individual rights, economic development while balancing these with environmental concerns. He says that he has never had a job that he didn't like including cab driver, bartender, painting contractor, newspaper boy, wholesale jewelry shipping, forklift operator, lithographic color artist, art league director, animal husbandry and farming. Fred has held elective office in both major political parties in different areas of the United States and has generally been considered to be a moderate who is fiscally conservative. He's proud of his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. Two of his four children have PhDs and one is an RN. His fourth child is active in church, family and religious activities. His step-daughter is accomplished in the hospitality industry. He's the Great-Grandfather to a two beautiful little girls and a rugged little boy.He has his own web site at www.fredstrong.com.

I visited Marquette recently and found that the Language Lab, which taught the speaking of foreign languages from tape recordings and film, no longer exists.
