Attended Fire Academy NFPA Firefighter 1, EMT, Rope Rescue Technician and Surface Water Rescue Swimmer, responding to emergency situation calls for fire, accidents, and mishaps. Worked on multiple National Forest throughout the US. Worked as a Wildlife Biologist involved with several raptor species including the Bald Eagle and the Northern Spotted Owl along with large game and fur bearer populations. Managed programs in aquatics, soils, hydrology, botany and wildlife. Regional program manager for the PNW Recreational Trails Program. Performed several years as the Terrestrial Biologist for the implementation of the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Program. Performed multiple fire duties over the years including: firefighter, sawyer, felling boss, field observer, crew boss, engine boss, strike team leader, Division Group Supervisor, Safety Officer, Food Unit Leader, Camp Manager, Wildland Urban Interface work, Agency Administrator... Worked as a Range Conservationist for the Forest Service and BLM. District Ranger on two National Forests, Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Klamath NF and Forest Supervisor on the Fremont-Winema National Forest. I worked closely with collaborator and was involved closely with tribal members and leaders on the Colville Tribes while on the Colville NF and with the Klamath Tribes as a Forest Supervisor. Involved with Applegate Partnership Collaborative group as a Wildlife Biologist on the Rogue River NF, the Northeast Washington Forestry Coalition as a District Ranger on the Colville NF and the Lakeview Stewardship Collaborative while being the Forest Supervisor. Performed details in Washington DC with USAID - OFDA reviewing international agricultural funding proposals from various nations andgroups. Critically examined likelihood of success in implementation.

Worked on advance studies in Ethnology and Linguistics. Team member that taught cross-cultural courses for graduate students at UTA. Team member creating and implementing International Anthropology Conference.

Albany, Corvallis And Redmond, Oregon

Worked with producers and other members of the public on issues pertaining to livestock and forage production as well as wildlife and range issues. Created Central Oregon Sheep Shearing School in cooperative with the New Zealand Wool Board. Developed in conjunction with OSU Engineering a guide on Llama Production. Oversaw Oregon portion of the sheep guard dog study out of New England College under Ray Coppinger. Cooperated in developing the Central Oregon Livestock Tour. Oversaw the state 4-H Sheep program. Worked with Federal trapper on bear issues on timber lands. Developed with Wildlife department butchering, caping and caring for game animals. Worked closely with hog, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goat, llama, chicken and rabbit producers interfacing with researches the needs of the producers and relaying research findings to the producer groups. Worked closely with forage producers on research needs and ground application of findings. Worked with companies at use of Ralgro for increased meat production and with the use of Ivermectin as an antiparasitic in early trials. Developed and wrote a weekly column for the Bend Bulletin on current topics in animal care and forage. Did stray voltage testing for several dairy facilities and helped develop management plans for struggling and new enterprises.

Prineville And Baker City, Oregon

Established study sites in Central Oregon for the Soil Vegetation Inventory Method (SVIM). Oversaw multiple range grazing permits in Eastern Oregon and monitored grazing activities for compliance. Involved with Oregon State Fish and Wildlife in game counts along the Grand Ronde and the Snake River. Involved in raptor program and early studies of Bald Eagle. Part of the wildland fire organization.

Zaire And Rwanda, Africa

Oversaw crop development on an African project in Eastern Zaire funded by UNICEF and Bread for the World. Worked in Rwanda with a vocational program teaching young men carpentry, masonry, mechanical and agricultural skills. Developed a 10 year plan for coffee production. Worked with various aspects of vegetable and staple crop production, soil stabilization practices and forestry management. Worked in conjunction with several local community leaders and USAID to fund a water project to separate surface from ground water to increase quality and remove contamination. Advised MAPS on a project they were seeking funding for in Eastern Zaire.
