I was diagnosed with HIV in 2002,a mother of 4 and grandmother of 3.In 2003 she started at Aniz, Inc. which focused on Women and Children infected and affected with HIV/AIDS, I became a lead facilitator for “Reaching Out to Sisters with HIV/AIDS” (ROSHA)program. In 2004 I focused on HIV Prevention and was certified as a Pre/Post test Counselor .In 2004 I also became a “VOICES” facilitator, as well as a “SISTA” facilitator in 2005. Keeping on the line of Prevention I became an Outreach Worker with Recovery Consultants of Atlanta targeting people who live with HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse. In 2007 I was the first female PEER 2 PEER Adherence Counselor at AID Survival Project. In 2008 she transitioned into a private health clinic specializing in HIV/AIDS focusing on Treatment Education. In 2009 I also got trained in another DEBI Intervention called “WILLOW”. I have been profiled in a community newspaper (Atlanta Voice) highlighting African American Women Living with HIV/AIDS on World AIDS Day. I was featured in a Faith based HIV education video sponsored by New Birth Christian Ministry in Lithonia, Georgia “HIV/AIDS Have We Forgotten”. I been on several planning committee for HIV events throughout the Atlanta area. I am on the speaker bureau for Gilead Pharmaceutical Company. I am currently in the Greater Than AIDS Campaign that is presented nation wide. With the campaign I have been in Ebony and Essence Magazine.Specialties: HIV Educator
