As Curriculum Team Leader (CTL) I managed a group of teachers and lecturers (8) for the Business and Higher Education (HE) department of Barking and Dagenham College. I ensured the smooth flow of the day-to-day activities of the two areas. I contributed to teaching by delivering sessions to five business classes. I prepared course materials, taught and marked learner assignments, whilst supporting course leaders with planning and performance monitoring, managing, and addressing various learner needs necessary to ensure expected outcomes are met. I monitored the regular collection and update of learner data including learner attendance, punctuality, disciplinary meetings, and withdrawals. I lead team meetings at which all pertinent issues were discussed and addressed. I checked information recorded on eTracker whilst ensuring that the team updated the input regularly. I carried out Teaching Learning and Assessment inspections (TLA) and Learning Walks. I arranged and supported standardization meetings, liaised with and supported Internal and External Quality Assurance (IQA) and (EQA) processes to ensure that all assignments are made ready for assessment and certification. I used electronic systems including teams, Google Classroom, Zoom, Kahoot to teach and with MyPortal and Celcat, to maintain learner records and registers, whilst monitoring and ensuring the consistent and proper marking by all staff. I received weekly MAP data which I used to create a MAP report for weekly monitoring Progress Reviews (MAP) presentation to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) after reporting overall data to my manager. I attended important progress review meetings and supported the writing of Self Assessment Reports (SAR) for the Business and HE departments.
