I develop curriculum and professional learning experiences to create more equitable, antiracist, and inclusive schooling. I make connections between communities, complicated concepts, and untold stories, particularly Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and concretize them into engaging K-12 lessons and activities.Within the educational resources I create, critical thinking strategies and equity frameworks acquired from my 16 years of teaching history in secondary schools are utilized. I also bring in my experience as an Education Program Director collaborating with organizations and developing professional learning workshops for teachers. My student activist leadership to institute an Asian American Sudies program at Northwestern University strongly influences my work as an educator and in my business YURI Education Project.
