The lead engineer on Ment, an app created for the live events space allowing event holders, their teams, and guests to view a live event with transcription, then easily create key moments for export to social platforms. Successfully co-architected the app using principles of DDD, Event Driven Architecture, and principles of distributed systems. - Utilized event driven architecture and component based UI libraries, providing a highly decoupled app with clear SoC, and full CI/CD via Terraform and GHA, resulting in fast iteration of features and fixes.- Delivered the MVP on-time, resulting in first year award of ARR percentage for the team, and beta, which has 99%+ uptime, hundreds of hours of recorded events and millions of engagements from Ment generated moments.- Implemented component libraries written in TypeScript, Vue.js and packaged with Nuxt, then composed together for the full user interface allowing for the best alignment of UI to service in each bounded context, lowering developer conflicts during dev and making auto testing of components highly focused. - Integrated AI into Ment for event summaries and chapter post event email, Auth0 for global authentication and authorization, and Deepgram for transcription, saving development time and money.

Team lead engineer at SnapStream, a broadcast TV recording and clipping platform.- Lead the design and development of a new AWS based process to capture OTT channel video sources, extending the product’s capability and opening the product to a new customer base.- Crafted a design for migrating legacy front end to modern reactive UI framework both at a page and component level by utilizing web-components, configuration driven UI and more: This enabled CI/CD outside the quarterly software release cycle, reducing tech debt and increasing the ability to bring in current developer talent. - Effectively co-lead a product / engineering cross functional team to experiment, prototype and vet new product viability, resulting in the further pursuit of a market that was previously disregarded.

Led the development team of a new web client for TRAX, which displays high volumes of real time data and video over 2D and 3D maps.- Implemented low latency and on demand video playback with support to ingest and display UAV / sensor metadata, allowing for the successful in-flight testing and deployment of the first production version.- Drastically increased rendering performance of real time entities on a 3d map; From the prototype’s original 12 fps for a few dozen items, to 200+ fps for thousands of entities on multiple 2d / 3d maps.- Created an augmented reality display for video playback, showing synchronized street lines, names, and other geo-centric data matching features from customer’s discontinued software.

Tech Lead for a front-end focused but full-stack team on Jagwire, our flagship product designed to capture and browse video, images, and other data provided by drones, satellite, mobile devices, and additional sources. Lead the implementation of supporting services used to support the product front-end for configuration, account settings, video playback requirements and more. Contributed to the product direction, mentored developers, collaboratively designed UI/UX. Researched, evaluated and planned the integration of emerging technologies.- Successfully designed and wrote a significant portion of the front-end for Jagwire over 9 years and many software releases.- Integrated many 2d and 3d mapping libraries (Cesium, WorldWind, Google Maps, etc) extending their base capabilities, culminating in the ability to show geo based summary information and then drill down to details for millions of assets all in real time.- Created Leto, a component centric UI toolkit, used in Jagwire and other products, consisting of independent UI widgets which can work together or independently to build additional apps or integrate Jagwire capabilities into customer’s existing products.
