Site visit to determine extent of damage to the facility after Hurricane Katrina. Facility was estimated to be under 20-25 FT. of water. Control room interior equipment demo and all equipment needed to be replaced. All lighting controls and junction boxes were damaged. With team effort prepared bid for funding on quantified losses to the insurance company adjuster.Checked engineer provided quantities on project in Toronto, Canada. Saved the company over three million dollars.Marathon/Canton Ohio ULSD Project. Checker for engineer provided material takeoff. All circuits were checked for proper sizing and material takeoff quantities. An electrical spread sheet was prepared for material request for quote. Researched vendors and verified sizing for high voltage feeder circuits, quantities and routing.Marathon/Texas City Texas DHT Project. Preliminary plant electrical design for conceptual estimate. Design includes: all circuits through 15KV incoming feeders, complete lighting, grounding, cable tray, and DCS wiring. These designs were for OSBL & ISBL.

Assigned to projects requiring electrical background. These projects consisted of inspecting the installation of primary high voltage feeders and switchgear. Also, managed the installation of large 5KV motors and witnessing testing for major oil companies.Along with the electrical, was responsible for all balance of plant work. The balance of plant work included establishing work procedures for pile driving, setting control buildings on elevated piles, revamping prover loops, designing lighting, grounding, cable tray supports, foundations, Setting 1500HP compressors, building roads, field fabrication of all associated piping above and below ground. Performed site surveys and analysis for electrical, communications, fire alarm redundant systems. Served in a dual capacity as electrical designer routing and designing/estimating underground duct banks and the associated wire/ cable for the duct banks. This was for the installation of gas turbines. Performed design/estimating work in Alaska for major oil company pipeline work. Designed a unique cleaning system to clean grease from 48" MOV without removing valve from pipeline. VECO Engineering Company was awarded $100,000 to build prototype.
