It Hardware And Software Warehouse Coordinator
During my time at Commander Integrated Systems, I liaised with the Commander Sales personnel who were our field workforce, courier companies as well as individual and corporate customers. • The period of end of financial-year and also the beginning of the year (January-March) were the busiest for the Commander Integrated warehouse staff. It was during this time I needed to negotiate with sales personnel, who at times were very demanding, as well as arranging for deadlines to be met regarding processing and delivery of goods to customers. Urgent orders were a common occurrence during that time, prompting me to make decisions and prioritise orders as they came across. Dealing with the courier companies was another task that I had to perform to get the goods moving out of the warehouse. Sometimes it would take quite a lot of persuasion on the phone to get a courier to pick up one of our boxes during this busy time, especially if it was a local trip. All these tasks required me to multi-skill in all these different business to business and business to customer relations. I was able to manage priorities, meet deadlines and negotiate with the appointed people. Listed below are most of the tasks I would perform on a daily basis at Commander IT Warehouse:Picked, loaded and moved stock within warehouse.Stored product by designating storage areas; adjusted storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updated inventory database..Prepared product for shipment by verifying location; directed movement to staging area; resolving problems.Verified product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusted entries.Documented actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintained databases.Monitored inventory by completing counts as required.Updated job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and safety courses.
