I coordinated and hosted all short-term teams, individuals or visitors coming to partner with Global Shore Opportunities in Guatemala—everything from picking them up at the airport to organizing their meals, how they serve with our organization and what kind of a party to have in the evenings! With scheduling and budgeting, it was spreadsheets for days before and after.Also, especially when there wasn't a team on the ground, I worked with our social media, website, print materials, marketing and communications. I was often behind the @globalshore Instagram posts—or our LinkedIn page. ✨

Taught English 9-12, English 10 & 11 Honours and Bible 9 several times each, as well as Bible 11, Information Technology 9 and Math 9. Focused in English and volunteered with the chapel program.Pioneered the creation of course packs for the English courses in 2012, and created significant updates each year since then. Served the English department for four and a half years as a marker for the cross-grade write program, providing a consistent standard for writing achievement and meaningful feedback for student improvement.Led five student groups in the missions and service program. Two teams were local groups, a third traveled to Thailand and two traveled to Guatemala (each team was away for a two-week service project).

Cast vision for and led groups of 15-30 members. Empowered and mentored leadership teams of 4-7 local volunteers. Interacted with various churches and para-church organizations to recruit volunteers. Raised financial support for local team costs. Encouraged and exhorted international leaders. Developed leadership, drama and conversation training curriculum and oversaw implementation. Coordinated yearly schedule and inspired leaders through retreats and meetings. Participated in service trips to Calgary, Kenya and Brazil. Co-led two month start-up in Mexico.As a volunteer from 2005-2010, co-led practical street ministry. Organized and facilitated practices. Trained groups in choreographed drama (between 4-30 trainees) and communicated the vision of DRIME with interested groups, including supporters of the ministry. Facilitated special events in various contexts, including conferences and prisons. Summer 2008, participated in service trips to Benin, West Africa and Paraguay, South America. Spring Break 2009, led service trip to San Diego, California. Raised financial support for all missions trips.
