Mr. Fix-it. This nickname, given to me by executives, comes from my management capabilities—seek information first, analyze root-causes, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide/implement recommendations that deliver the “fix” or positive outcomes and results. I do not mind the nickname — I am happy to contribute to building successful organizations and productive teams.When I look back, I have always been a person who first seeks to understand and enjoys learning new things about organizations and customers. Understanding employee and operational challenges allow me to collaborate cross-functionally on solutions and strengthen my ability to train, mentor, and coach talent to achieve goals. Much of my root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and management style comes from my years of success in golf—I ranked in the Top 40 by Golf Week and held the National Golf Champion title as a student-athlete. While playing golf, I learned to plan, stay focused on what you need to achieve, and pick tools/clubs to optimize success. Then, reflect on the plan and alter it due to challenges and changes.As a manager of operations, projects, and people, I create plans and processes. I focus on training and empowering people to succeed, use various systems, and monitor and analyze changes to improve and achieve objectives—continuously looking for improvements in operations, services, quality, and productivity. I have managed 400+ employees and use various strategies to motivate teams to meet goals and performance. I interact well with internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders, utilizing my communication and relationship-building skills.
