Collaborated with and mentored a small team providing support to 300+ employees at one location. In one month, closed over 350+ tickets in Support Magic. Performed installs or restores of tens of hundreds of desktop computers and laptops running Windows NT 4/2000/98/95/3.5 operating systems. Participated with network administrators to quickly resolved LAN/WAN issues ranging from loss of computer IP address, running RJ45 cable in IDF rooms, or investigating remote access dialup problems. Learned Microsoft Active Directory to create Windows user accounts, Microsoft Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists, and network share folders. Maintained a close working relationship with internal developers to support their applications; mainly written in Visual Basic and Oracle. Worked after hours, by myself, to convert dozens of legacy desktop and laptop computers from Windows 95 to Windows NT; with little to no impact to the customer. Routinely installed and resolved problems with dozens of commercial software such as ProComm, Winfax, Rumba, and a wide range of Microsoft products. Changed different types of printer toner cartridges and repaired simple problems for various HP and Lexmark products. Learned HTML and PhotoImpact to create a desktop support knowledge database Intranet which included animated flaming GIF buttons and few and pre-written Java scripts. Other technologies utilized in job role: Microsoft Office 2000/97, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, MS-DOS, AS/400, 10MB LAN, and ATM, Novell 4.1, McAfee, Norton Antivirus, ODBC drivers, DLLs, Oracle 7.3/8.04, Rumba 5.1/5.2, Intel Pentium PII/PIII processors, Hewlett Packard Vectra series, Compaq Armada 1500 series, Dell OptiPlex GX1 series, Dell Latitude series, 3Com 3C9xx network cards and modems, Novell 2000 network cards, HP Laserjet5 series printers, and Lexmark Optra printers.
