Ward 17 was a busy trauma and orthopaedic 28-bedded ward, a Neck of Femur centre of excellence, mostly patients with fractured hips or knees. My responsibilities included essential patient care, general ward maintenance & cleaning and completing related paperwork. Assisting with patient mobility and continuing physiotherapy, as prescribed by a registered physiotherapist. Other responsibilities involved measuring the vital signs of patients and recording them appropriately, escalating all nursing concerns to the appropriate member of staff. Patient transfers to other wards, the imaging department and theatre. Communicating with staff, patients and relatives, in person and on the phone. While escalating concerns outside my role to the relevant member of staff.Key points:▶ I worked throughout the entire covid-19 epidemic without illness, both on my ward and other cohort wards.

My responsibilities at Campden BRI included extraction and analysis of foodstuffs for the vitamin content predominately vitamins A, D and E and also B1 - B6 also extractions for acrylamide and ergot, within deadlines defined by the client. While being aware of prior commitments and deadlines, following detailed written UKAS methods meticulously. Using quality control data and checks had to be maintained to ensure reliable results. I liaised with internal and external individuals, including technical and non-technical staff and clients, concerning samples. Additional responsibilities included booking-in samples and producing sample receipts using lab-based software. Practical responsibilities included day-to-day maintenance of lab and lab equipment, including mandatory calibration, cleaning and tidying of the lab and ensuring the availability of reagents and chemicals. My primary responsibilities comprised of accepting deliveries to the store from both Tesco distribution centres and external couriers, managing the warehouse including space, stock and making specific products were accessible. Further organising the delivery yard to ensure vehicles could manoeuvre, and I kept the delivery yard tidy. Sometimes I replenished the stock in-store while greeting customers in a friendly and polite manner and assisting with their queries.

Winchcombe, Gloucestershire

An office-based company, which was instructed by solicitors to prepare medical records for legal cases. The process involved collating and paginating patient records, then writing a detailed resume of the case. A case included producing the resume the client requested. A second member of staff performed a quality check to ensure each case was comprehensive and checked efficiently. The medical records and resume were then returned to the solicitors. Stonebridge Nursing Home is an elderly mental health care unit, specialising in dementia care, caring for up 46 residents daily. My duties included day-to-day care of residents, including personal care, dietary needs, and recreational activities to keep the residents stimulated. I also escorted residents to hospital appointments and in case of an emergency. I completed documentation of tasks performed promptly, other roles included maintaining the cleanliness of the home.Key points:▶ Health and Social Care Level 2 completed
