M&A and Strategy

Proposition Development support for an M&A product line, responsible for process managing numerous legacy disposal transactions in the London market. Specifically aligned to the end-to-end market assessment, due diligence, valuation and competitive disposal process. Engagement Lead, Business Analyst and Project Manager for a number of large strategic assessments for global insurers. Assisting clients with developing and analysing hypotheses for strategic growth, identifying required changes to their current business model whilst assessing appropriate alternative corporate structural options. Led the analytics work on numerous business process reviews determining current operational performance levels and establishing areas for improvement. The output of a project typically includes identification of net saving opportunities alongside a prioritized action plan. Worked independently on secondment at a Mutual insurance company determining the efficacy of their risk management processes and systems, enhancing them within a regulatory compliance framework.Manage an industry-wide quarterly enhanced annuity and unit linked guarantees survey with a combined annual income recorded at over £4.4bn at its peak. Responsible for team finance management and reporting, preparing monthly forecasts and financial projections as well as delivering annual financial plans to the European Leadership team.

Involved in supporting projects across all service lines including but not limited to:• Strategy and markets; supported the development of the TW P&C M&A strategy. Additionally, contributed to a comprehensive competitor profiling exercise, extracting and analysing pertinent financial data from a strategic perspective. • Financial and performance management; worked on an internal business process re-engineering project, producing a granular level process map for companies piloting usage based insurance products.• Risk management and regulatory change; developed a sophisticated internal regulatory tool that became a valuable instrument in facilitating Solvency II validation work for multiple clients. Researched and delivered an internal presentation on a recent regulatory development, informing on the likely implications for our clients. • Other responsibilities included; regularly assisting with client report production and proposal development, generating a complex budget for a prospective client project and providing project support for a claims function review.
