Second internship within EDF researching low carbon solutions. - Developed an interactive map to show current and future hydrogen and nuclear energy production sites, carbon capture and storage sites, and existing and current carbon and hydrogen transport infrastructure within the UK using JavaScript.- Represented EDF at stakeholder meetings with partners from industry and academia. This included providing technical insight regarding hydrogen supply and storage to Bristol Airport and the costs associated with different methods as a part of the Hydrogen South West project.- Developed a cost comparison tool for different methods of energy production, including various methods of electricity, gas, nuclear, and hydrogen production.- Performed a cost-benefit analysis on the various uses of waste heat produced by thermal reactors, with a focus on the Hartlepool Heat Hub project.

Worked on low carbon energy solutions involving hydrogen, bioenergy and carbon capture and storage.- Researched the efficacy of bioenergy with carbon capture and storage to hydrogen (BECCS-to-hydrogen) within the UK, working with stakeholders and academia. This included performing market research to identify potential users of hydrogen and carbon, and identifying and performing a cost-benefit analysis on different BECCS methods. Presented findings at stakeholder meetings and contributed to writing a national report on BECCS-to-hydrogen.- Translated interviews and transcripts with policy-makers regarding the current landscape of hydrogen in France from French into a word cloud to show recurrent themes.- Represented EDF as a stakeholder on a project to investigate the efficacy of creating a hydrogen pipeline system in the UK in collaboration with National Grid and other industry partners.- Performed research on carbon and hydrogen production, usage, and storage, as a part of the Zero Carbon Humber and Tees Green Hydrogen projects.
