During my time at Happeo, I had the privilege of being part of the team that redefined the company's mobile strategy and successfully created a new product from inception to completion, which resonated deeply with our customers.

Leading product development for Knome, a new disruptive competency management SaaS solution.

Worked in the R&D department as a front-end web developer. Starting at Trimble I had no prior experience of web development and I was quickly able to become a independent contributor in my team. By the end I had completely ported the live core angularjs application I was working on to a modern Angular project with state management completely reworked as well automatized the dev environment with scripts and introducing continuous integration with unit tests and E2E tests. I also assumed project management duties for another project I was working on which among other things entailed feature planning, communication and release management with other internal Trimble teams.

As a research assistant at Åbo Akademi University I worked on two education-focused projects Digismart and Slöjd 2.0 (eng. crafts). The purpose of the Digismart project is to educate students in Finnish secondary school in basic ICT and security concepts by providing teaching material to teachers. In the Digismart project I was in charge of constructing and analysing surveys as well as writing teaching material for secondary schools. The purpose of the Slöjd 2.0 project is to incorporate programming and computer hardware into the traditional Finnish crafts (i.e. woodworking, sewing etc.) curriculum. I was in charge of designing and piloting the new curriculum in two different elementary schools.

I organized and taught two after school code clubs in elementary schools in the Turku area. Over the course of eight weeks the students were introduced to the basics of computer science and learned to create simple programs using Scratch.

As a software developer my duties were to develop python tools for analyzing and visualizing geodata for offline and online use. I was also the team leader when we participated in the 2013 Startup Journey at Boost Turku where I worked a lot on pitching and business development. I got first class training in the basics of project management by Kaj, who himself is an accomplished digital executive.
