About Freddy Janney
I am a highly creative interactive and immersive UX/UI designer. I approach design with a storytelling perspective as I am a Billboard charting music producer and songwriter. The creative process combined with human-centered designed is what I enjoy and where I thrive - whether it’s visual, spatial, sound design or a combination of all three.I dove into the world of experiential design more recently in my career through the incredible USC Iovine & Young Academy Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business, and Technology program. I'm so happy to be a part of this program and I'm so inspired by everyone in the community at IYA. I currently am leveraging my creative and entrepreneurial skills as an interactive UX/UI designer and brand design lead at PhenomenArts, Inc. - a boutique design firm that specializes in immersive and interactive experiences utilizing physical and digital materials as well as audio design.As a recording artist, music producer, and DJ under the name partywithray I have released Billboard charting records and toured the country. My debut release, "Came For The Low", a collaboration with festival headlining artist ZHU, spent 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic charts and peaked at #22. The song has also been placed in numerous TV shows, most notably Marvel's "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier". Notable shows I've played have been Red Rocks as direct support for ZHU, as well as the Hollywood Palladium as support for ZHU, and main stage at Insomniac's Escape Music Festival. In August 2023 I played The Gorge in Washington, definitely another bucket list venue, and in September 2023 I played the legendary Lost Lands Music Festival in Ohio and Brooklyn Mirage - the premiere dance music venue in New York City.
