CurrentStaff Advisor for General Officer, Sustainment Command Provide senior-level advisement services to the Commander on medical readiness and preventative medicine issues in support of 4K personnel based out of Fort Hood, TX. Establishes strategic and tactical direction for all aspects of day-to-day department operations, contingency planning, and personnel training/supervision and resource allocation.• Oversaw budgetary and capital expenditures planning for high profile projects with operating budgets in excess of $500K; analyzed financials, monitored spending and administered cost savings and productivity opportunities• Maintained, reviewed and implemented policies and procedures aligned with local, state and federal rules and standards• Served as the Commander’s Suicide Prevention Subject Matter Expert (SME); directed a team of senior officers and civilians to develop a program designed to reduce suicide episodes across the unit• Operated as a Joint Services Medical Logistics Advisor to the Afghan National Police; planned and executed a flawless security plan for the medical warehouse saving the Police $50K+ per year in losses• Advised the Joint Service Hospital Architect and Medical Maintenance teams on equipment fielding to properly provide sustainable equipment for the hospital; future savings for the Afghan government will exceed $1M in medical equipment replacement over the next 10 years• Represented command in a committee chaired by the Army’s Vice Chief of Staff to build resiliency across the Army
