Worked with the Gosu team in the platform development area (development tools used in the InsuranceSuite set of software Guidewire builds). Worked on SQL language analysis and parsing.Built a compiler plugin for Gosu, which extends Gosu's typesystem to DDL and SQL files and allows us to perform native Gosu analysis and execution of SQL queries and tables.Our compiler plugin relies on a parser we built based on a subset of the grammar from H2Database. The parser generates an ast and a collection of classes based on the contents of a file. This information is fed to Gosu's typeloader at project initialization time and generates a set of properties (somewhat analogous to Java's variables) and methods. Features we have implemented that the typeloader can resolve and generate methods for cover include a broad range of query construction and execution methods, transaction and validation, and safe error handling.
