I have a strong passion for empowering communities through financial literacy. My career in finance began as a consumer banker, where I worked closely with business and consumer clients in helping them establishing a banking relationship. I worked my way to becoming a senior premier banker where I learned many of the banking system’s business underwriting guidelines and regulations. This knowledge allowed me to educate and empower clients to understand when and how they can borrow and save money. As my passion to educate in finance grew while working at the bank, I volunteered to educate families of Searles Elementary School in Union City in partnership with SparkPoint Financial Services, a nonprofit program created by United Way Bay Area. Recognizing the dire need to educate our communities in personal finance, I pursued the opportunity to work closer with clients; individually and in group/workshop settings, for City of Fremont's Family Resource Center. I now practice my passion helping others build their assets, eliminate their debt, and improve their credit so that they have a fair shot at getting ahead financially. Financial education fosters financial stability for individuals and for entire communities. The more people know about and understand financial services, the more likely they are to make informed decisions on money matters, where a wrong decision could result in years of financial hardship. Save money and improve your financial health and well-being.
