After multiple years developing ArcGIS Dashboards and making it happens, I started a new engineering adventure. I'm now working on Arcade, our cross applications/platforms language for extensibility and customization. I'm building a new Editor using Monaco from Microsoft. I'm going back to basic algorithms and data structures with abstract syntax graphs and other fun computer science challenges.

Over 8 years the team grown from 3 to 40 engineers and I was managing and leading 14 developers. In this position, I have been actively defining the technical and conceptual aspects of the mobile products as well as implementing some core functionality. The developments made over these 8 years were the main drivers that led to the ArcGIS Runtime.More particularly, I designed and implemented a complete occasionally-connected system between mobile devices and data servers using local storage in Sqlite with data change tracking. I guided and actively participated to the design and implementation of:- the new drawing engine based on OpenGL and Direct X. - the Geometry and Projection Engine for small systems.- the Advanced Symbology for small systems.I was instrumental in changing the direction of the ArcGIS Runtime from a wrapping ArcObjects through a local server to wrapping a C++ core library.I have been also involved in key projects for ArcGIS for Defense such as Squad Leader and Vehicle Commander applications. I was one of the members who redefined the tactical approach for ArcGIS for Defense.During these years I became an advanced .Net/Wpf developer for small clients and desktops. I also had experience with Java and Android.Even if I did not write Objective C code and Java code, I led the engineering and I have a good understanding for the level of decisions I had to take.
