I combined my Master in Physics with my love for electronics and high performance computing (what I like to call my "hobbies that got out of hand") in my PhD research at UGent, where I developed new solutions surrounding hyperspectral X-ray imaging detectors. I'm currently continuing this work in my own start-up company SpeXICAM, where I'm enjoying the new challenges posed by the world of entrepreneurship. 🚀In my free time you'll probably find me playing the cello 🎵 in an amateur symphonic orchestra, wrenching away on cars or motorcycles 🔧, or just doing some peaceful gardening 🍀. Challenging technical puzzles 🧩 and cats 😺 (not necessarily combined) are guaranteed to catch my attention, and I love looking at the world around me with technical and scientific wonder 🌟.
