I like to see myself as a curious economist, with strong commitments to ethics, that enjoys putting in practice business and financial planning skills to take on decisive challenges.My career started, and re-showed, in Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) at top universities and hospitals in Barcelona (Spain). Working with researchers is a unique experience to discover frontier technologies and envisage how they would impact in our daily lives. I have also worked in fast growing companies (Solar Energy & Software) needing to hire polyvalent staff for business development and for business analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring. I also assisted CEO’s and CFO’s when implementing balance scoreboards.Lecturing fundamentals of economics and entrepreneurship to undergraduate and masters engineering students has been a helpful way to train my communication skills and the best pretext to reread economic and business management manuals. There is no doubt that sharing time with students is really helpful to better understand economic theory and unclothe economic downturns. I also gained international experience in Bangladesh, Peru and Mozambique enrolled in NGOs, Development Banks and Universities working in issues related to micro finance, rural electrification and technology development policies.(This was written in 2014... and prevails in 2020)
