Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer, I partnered with all the relevant parties to provide expert support and advice in all areas of employee life cycle. Was involved directly in developing and implementing the HR plan that supported the corporate business objectives. The client group consisted of senior managers, operations teams including workforce and support function across 20 centres in the country.

Based in Townsville and covered areas ranging from Cairns to Emerald and Rockhampton including Brisbane. Reported to the Managing Director, this was a hands-on role looking after the HR/HSE and operational needs of a geographically diverse workforce. Main projects included NBN, wideband, Optus network upgrade, building and construction of network infrastructure in Greenfields and brown fields.

Managed the HR/IR/OHS requirements for the organisation. Projects range from Federal funded projects to private and public sponsored projects. I was hired specifically to find and deliver the key talent necessary to grow the business. Assignment included successfully negotiating the company enterprise bargaining agreement covering multiple project sites from Cairns, Townsville, and Brisbane. Other assignments included designing, developing and implementing OHS requirements for all the sites.

Responsibilities included formulating manpower plans for effective staff utilization whilst developing and implementing strategies that were designed to ensure the organisation had updated ongoing skills and knowledge to meet current and future staff needs.In partnership with the operational departments, this role supported 80+ managers/supervisors and 900 + employees in all the areas of the employee life cycle ensuring the company was able to attract, retain and grow its talent through its apprentice, graduate, high potential programs.
