Responsible for providing user support and training for District-approved software and network client server applications. Duties include responding to incoming calls to the helpdesk; researching and troubleshooting software, hardware and network problems District-wide; managing passwords; producing/updating technical helpsheets; evaluating and developing software standards; maintaining database of frequently asked questions; maintaining online software training modules; and providing individual training sessions.

Support all district LAN/WAN hardware and software applications, as well as voice systems features and functionality, utilizing proprietary, and or terminal emulation software. Monitor software and firmware revisions and apply patches and software upgrades as necessary. Roll out new enhancements at the district and individual sites as new services or enhancements become available. Work closely with Tech Services troubleshooting, provisioning, and providing advanced technical solutions for LAN/WAN based services requiring specialized network segmentation or services. Provide guidance, training and support for other members of the telecom team to further enhance their abilities at troubleshooting and problem resolution. May assist with translation and/or communication using second language skills when possible.
