His in-depth research and attention to detail also eliminated message delivery duplication and drastically improved the efficiency of the Coast Guard’s record messaging system as a whole. When the unit’s inter-site microwave link suffered a catastrophic failure, Petty Officer DIZON’s expertise was instrumental in the restoration of essential infrastructure. Working around the clock, he coordinated with contractors, transmitter site technicians, and operators to restore fourteen mission-critical satellite data circuits to the fleet while overseeing repairs and alignments at all three geographical sites. By sharing his technical knowledge and preparing a dozen junior technicians for duty, his contribution will have a lasting effect on CAMSPAC’s ability to provide reliable command, control, and distress communication services.
