With over 30 years in information systems management, I bring extensive experience leading development teams, securing infrastructure, and managing vendor relationships.Starting out with IBM in 1990, I cut my teeth as an RPG Developer and AS/400 systems engineer, becoming the Development Manager in my second year. In this position, I oversaw a team of eight AS/400 RPG developers, handling project assignments, client relations, and leading the modernization of a System/36 Budgetary Financial Application to Native AS/400.Transitioning to Global Software (now Insight Global), I wore multiple hats as a Software Designer, RPG Developer and Development Manager. One of my top accomplishments was spearheading the design and creation of a Microsoft Windows Client/Server application, Spreadsheet Server, that extended the reporting capabilities of the AS/400 “green screen” financial application. Global partnered with SSA and integrated the Global Financial Suite with BPCS ERP for clients in need of robust accounting solutions which led me to become a BPCS ERP Implementation Specialist. Since then I have worked in several different industries including Manufacturing, Distribution, Government, Law Enforcement and Healthcare.My expertise extends to seamlessly integrating IBM iSeries with various RDBMS platforms like MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and more. I’ve led numerous data warehouse projects across different platforms and cloud solutions like Snowflake, Azure, and AWS. I then implemented BI solutions including IBM Cognos, Microsoft Power BI, and DOMO.Beyond the tech world, I love spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and kayaking with my wife and friends, along with indulging in travel adventures and live music.
