Fred Lochbihler, formerly the senior partner in the firm's General Litigation Department, has been practicing law since 1976 when he joined Chapman and Cutler LLP. Fred represented corporations, banks and individual entrepreneurs as lead counsel in litigation of all types. Although his forte is securities and shareholder litigation, he has substantial experience in litigating actions in the areas of RICO and common law fraud, lender liability, trusts and estates, insurance and reinsurance law, accountants' liability, products liability and performance, libel and slander, construction and environmental disputes, employer-employee relations, trademark and trade secret protection, unfair competition, and antitrust. Fred has practiced in federal and state courts throughout the nation in connection with all variants of remedial actions including litigation, class actions, and injunction and declaratory judgment cases.Having retired from Chapman, Fred is now engaged on a part time basis in helping individuals and corporations solve problems expeditiously and inexpensively through his consulting practice. The bulk of his time is devoted to turning forests into gardens, frolicking with his clowder and cooking up mischief.
