Responsible for maintaining a system of inspection to detect all hazards of the operation. Conducts routine inspection of the work area. Makes daily inspection reports.Monitors the implementation of the controls specified in the approved JHA’s and permits. Receives oral and written reports of employees about unsafe practices and conditions. Investigate accidents and recommends measure to prevent recurrence. Instruct employees on accident prevention and hazard elimination practices.Maintains OHS Notices Boards, Statistic Boards and OHS Posters for promotions. Ensures that all hazards are identified and properly controlled prior to start of any activity. Assist in the coordination with pertinent regulatory agencies in connection with the OHS implementation on site. Conducts daily site safety inspection to ensure that only safe methods of working are in operation and that, the workers are in observant to the required safety regulations.Facilitates safety training together with site personnel which includes project engineers, QC inspectors and subcontractor’s site supervisor.Monitors daily safety and traffic activities through out the project area.Conduct internal safety patrols and prepares a weekly toolbox meeting topics.Check and monitor the validity of all appropriate tests certificates of all lifting gears if required.Conducts Fire Extinguisher training and evacuation drills.Attends directly to all safety requirements as designated by the safety Engineer.Check and monitor daily Pre-start meeting and ensure that all activities has a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) as required.
