Manages and coordinates all activities leading to the successful completion of projects including project scoping, timelines, cost estimates and design. Develop and maintain project parameters for project requirements. Provide direction to contractors, consultants, and project team. Coordinate input from and participation with various other departments within the Company as needed to meet project objective.Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project. • Plans and/or designs, develops, coordinates, and manages complex projects for additions and modifications to company gas and electric facilities from onset through completion of project. • Negotiates and secures complex contracts and agreements that specify work, cost and scheduling responsibilities for assigned key customers. • Meets with key customers, customer representatives, government agencies, and other utilities in planning and coordinating additions and modifications to gas and electric facilities. • Designs and/or manages complex projects for additions and modifications to company electric facilities involving capacity and reliability which includes fire hardening in the high fire threat districts.• Independently manages several concurrent projects, assignments and activities.• In a lead capacity, completes special assignments and/or feasibility studies related to ongoing process improvements, training or special projects.• Provides mentorship or training for associate and junior customer project planners. Conducts meetings or facilitates presentations at the department, team or at project/kick-off meetings.• Reviews work orders completed by customer project planners or design contractors prior to submittal for approvals. Oversees or prepares construction orders with safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs that conform to company standards, safety orders, and governmental regulations.• Applies complex rule applications and explain them along with associated costs and contracts to the customer.• Negotiates and secures complex contracts and agreements that specify work, cost and scheduling responsibilities.• Generates cost-estimates for managers and the engineers in order to determine and secure proper funding for complex projects.• Utilizes PLS-CADD to determine pole loading by analyzing the vertical loading, transverse loading, and horizontal tensions and ensures compliance with G.O. 95 rules.

• Prepares construction orders with safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs that conform to company standards, safety orders, and governmental regulations. • Meets with customers, customer representatives, government agencies, and other utilities in planning and coordinating additions and modifications to gas and electric facilities. • Analyzes customer service load data and meter locations. • Performs engineering calculations and negotiates design details in conformance with Company standards, business controls, land rights, environmental requirements and government regulations. • Identifies project objectives and resolves project conflicts as required. • Manages costs associated with assigned projects. • Works with customers to identify their needs and ensures results meet expectations. • Develops strategies to meet customer construction schedules for the installation of distribution energy systems and services. • Independently designs and or manages several concurrent projects, assignments, activities, costs and overall requirements through project completion. • Consults on complex issues on Company policies, gas & electric Energy Distribution Systems, design standards, land Issues, environmental, metering and construction requirements, as well as CPUC rules. • Interprets Company policies; mediates and resolves disputes. • Responsible for negotiating contracts, agreements and cost responsibilities in compliance with Company policies, including business accounting controls, land rights, environmental requirements and governmental rules and regulations. • Conducts field investigations, analyzes the feasibility of additions and modifications to gas and electric facilities. Determines system integrity and growth potential. • Acts in a lead capacity on projects to provide work direction to other department personnel; provides on the job training to new planners.

Serves as an emergency respondent at the EOC during Red Flag Warnings. Provides analytical & GIS support to the EOC and EDO personnel by: conducting spatial analysis and employing other means of studies to determine areas prone to wildfires, designating isolation devices in and around High Risk Fire Areas, keeping the CFSP Circuit Listing document up-to-date during the EOC activation, generating maps pertaining to the HRFA & FTZ, and generating reports regarding customers who maybe subject for de-energization. Assists the district engineers, the planning engineers and project planners by performing load studies, load flow analysis, and processing fuse requests in compliance with the Design Manual and the Distribution Standards. Utilized Power Quality to conduct research and analysis regarding transmission and distribution electrical disturbances. Conducts overload studies and provides possible design solutions to the engineers for mitigation. Created map books highlighting project scopes and project sites for designers and engineers during job walks. Develops complex SQL queries to generate reports pertaining to customers and facilities for various objectives.
