JOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the VP of Operations, my position as the Test Engineering Manager requires the use of a hands‐on approach in regards to designing, developing, and implementing test plans to ensure compliance to customer and industry test & reliability requirements. Full responsibility for prototype and production test programs, documentation of test results, and a knowledge of FMEA, RCCA, and FRACAS across all product life cycles. Additionally I have been tasked with managing the Calibration department iaw AS9100 and Z540-1.My role requires a wide range of experience with accelerated environmental and mechanical/electrical test methods, and an ability to recognize electromechanical failure modes and mechanisms. Functional responsibilities:•Directs and coordinate activities of tests on mechanical and/or electrical equipment by performing the following duties directly. •Directs mechanical/electrical engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control equipment.•Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of testoperations•Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies•Capable of developing test plans, test techniques and test procedures to meet product and program requirements •Validate and evaluate test techniques and facilities for accuracy, reliability, repeatability, and correlation to actual customer requirements•Attend lab priority and workload meetings•Attend planning meetings, execution timing met•Be aware of new practices, procedures, and materials and evaluate them regularly for application in our facilities
