As a research technician for the Arctic Long Term Ecological Research (Arctic LTER) initiative, I lead the streams component of a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional project that aims to understand the effects of climate change on Arctic ecosystems. I am responsible for designing and conducting field and laboratory experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and preparing scientific reports and publications.In addition to my role at Arctic LTER, I just finished a Master of Science degree in environmental science at the University of Vermont, with a focus on aquatic biogeochemistry. My thesis project investigates the mechanisms and drivers of nutrient limitation in Arctic freshwater systems, using a combination of field measurements, laboratory assays, and modeling techniques. I have successfully completed the project-based thesis and defended it in front of a committee of experts.With over four years of experience in environmental research, I have developed strong skills in independent research, environmental reporting, laboratory management, and technical writing. I am passionate about advancing the scientific knowledge and understanding of the Arctic environment and its interactions with global climate change. I am looking for a challenging and rewarding position that allows me to apply my skills and expertise to address environmental issues and contribute to the sustainability of natural resources.
