Oversaw and successfully grew the entire P&L of a privately held, self funded and highly successful $500mm corporation focused on the micro-loan industry. Led an Operations Team of over 30 highly skilled individuals in Dallas and was in charge of all 350 branches, their team members, and all revenues generated by the company.

Founded in 1989, EZCORP has grown into a leading provider of pawn loans in the U.S, and of both pawn loans and consumer loans in Mexico, Latin America and Canada. Over 750 locations and nearly 8000 employees. EZCORP is a $1B business, publicly traded on NASDAQ; (EZPW).After a highly successful tenure as a key development catalyst and executive leader at Rent-A-Center, I was invited to join the team at EZCORP and spearhead the creation of their Leadership and Talent Development office that supporters our efforts in the US, Mexico and throughout Latin America. Within just a few months, I had implemented massive, company-wide development initiatives, with core competencies and KPIs clearly delineated for every level of the company and a comprehensive performance management plan set in place for the next two years. My primary focus is on building high-performance teams, giving them the tools to succeed, and holding them accountable. I have rebuilt the entire corporate and field infrastructure to best utilize the skills and abilities of our team members and continue to guide each through the entire professional development life cycle.Traveled extensively throughout the US and Mexico in support of this role. KEY INITIATIVES*Oversee needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and measurement of enterprise-wide learning solutions to create entirely new onboarding and training programs in collaboration with a team of instructional designers, field, trainers, LMS Managers, and Graphic Designers, and Resident Subject Matter Experts.

Rent-A-Center, a $3.1B organization, is the nation’s largest rent-to-own operator with 3,200 stores in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico and approximately 190 franchise operations.Recruited by the Executive Vice President of Operations to take over one of the company's most underperforming regions, I was promoted to the role of Regional Director. My position included oversight of over 100 brick-and-mortar stores in four states, 10 multi-unit managers, and 550+ direct reports, as well as a growing P&L portfolio of $80M. Beyond meeting and exceeding the region's weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals, I developed a strategic vision and tactical plan to increase sales, drive revenue, and build a sustainable pipeline of talent at the District and Store Manager level. My career development initiatives provided full lifecycle career development opportunities for all 550+ direct reports.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS* Drove the growth of an $80M P&L portfolio, which included bringing the top line revenue from a loss to a $30M profit in less than 2 years. * Designed monthly sales training certifications offered in an online platform to improve the quality and quantity of the Region’s sales program.* Evaluated the talent development needs in franchise stores and upgraded the bottom 20% within 3 months. Hired over a dozen external Managers and District Managers in Training to upgrade existing talent using social media and job fairs.

In 2013, I was recruited by the COO to take on the position of Senior Operations Manager and to build the infrastructure for the new “Centers of Excellence” program, which was designed to positively impact turnover and to act as a delivery vehicle for all training initiatives and corporate deployments. This program led to the development of 350 Center of Excellence Stores that uphold the company’s brand standard. My role included managing a team of 14 Operations Training Coaches and 3 Senior Operations Managers, as well as overseeing an operating budget of $5M. I was officially named the Director of the Centers of Excellence program in 2015.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS* Launched the Company’s personalized new hire onboarding initiative, “DRIVE” to reverse new employee loss, reducing first year’s turnover by 8%. Reduced overall turnover by 15% after two years in operation, representing an annual savings of $42.5M.* Identified 350 COE stores out of 3,500 to be responsible for on-boarding and implementing the new hire experience. The program was named to the “Training Top 125” Annual List of Globally Ranked organizations, recognized for Preeminent Training & Development Processes in 2013, 2104, and 2015, the first such awards in the company’s history.* Implemented delivery and training for the Company’s new $100M POS system to over 17,000 employees.* Led the deployment of $65M Smartphone investment by developing and delivering 40 individual training events over five weeks to an audience of over 7,000 employees. The program generated $2M weekly in revenue.* Established a blended learning platform to help develop and cultivate leadership competencies for all field operations by utilizing the COE Infrastructure combined with our LMS platform.
