About Frederick Yi-Ming Lu

Hi!I'm Freddie, an extremely motivated and coachable full-stack developer. Over the past 3 months, I've helped Loch Safety develop a user verification feature for their product, enabling the company to release for user testing recently. On top of my work experience, I've consistently excelled academically, maintaining a High Distinction WAM of 92.2 at UNSW Sydney. In particular, I've achieved a 96 in both the Data Structure and Algorithm courses I've taken, which underpins my exceptional algorithmic problem-solving skills as a software engineer. Whether it be presenting in front of an entire theatre of computer science students, or guiding a software team through countless iterations of the SDLC to release our product, I've consistently proven to be a clear communicator, as well as a capable leader who harnesses empathy to empower a team. Speaking of communication, I'm fluent in many languages ranging from bilingual in English and Mandarin, to proficient in C, C++, Python, Java and Swift, and I'm always open to learning and adopting more.Whilst I complete my university studies, I'm always seeking internships or part-time opportunities to bridge the gap between classroom learning and solving real-world problems.
