The last phase will add 20MM pounds annually to the plant production capacity via packaging automation that will increase pack line speeds.• Developed a collaborative, transparent culture for my engineering team with end-to-end accountability for results to improve overall delivery performance.• Implemented a practice of project risk assessment to determine implementation successand facility acceptance. Director Manufacturing DesignTyson Foods 2011 - 2016Springdale, Ar, Us• Responsible for the Capital Plan Development and Detailed Process Design for 70+ Poultry, Prepared Foods, and Case Ready Beef and Pork facilities with annual capital spend oversight ranging from $400MM to $700MM.• Successfully led a diverse team of 17+ engineering and technical team members with an annual budget spend in excess of $2.5MM.• Directed the collaborative development of a project plan which was funded to build a $135MM greenfield further process poultry facility capable of producing 170+miilion pounds of finished goods annually.• Developed the manufacturing plan for and took the lead in bridging a cross-functional team to execute a network optimization effort that rationalized 3 prepared foods production facilities and relocated 182 SKU’s into 10 internal and co-man facilities.• Crafted the creation of the job role and duties for the first Safety Engineer at Tyson.• Instrumental in the conversion of a prepared foods facility to a different type of finished product with a highly automated system design that now is best in class delivering a cost advantage of $3.5+MM annually over like plants.• Masterfully planned and navigated a contentious project to spend $26MM to upgrade a lunch meat production facility which now is best in class delivering a cost advantage of over $1MM annually versus like plants.• Developed a detailed 5-year pro-forma cost to produce model on a 120MM pound/year production facility to determine interest in entering into an agreement to be one of the key suppliers for this product to an existing customer. • Created an entire poultry complex production model (live production, feed mill, hatchery, and slaughter facility) as part of an international due diligence exercise showing production outputs, raw material inputs, and staffing requirements. I also crafted a line item estimate which was $350+MM.• Developed a thorough due diligence questionnaire to use with M&A activity and greenfield planning. -
