Network System Architect
Current- Coordinates the setting of standards for network server operating system, messaging, and hardware compatibility Coordinates the technical activities of the Server Engineers and Analysts. Analyzes network server performance and recommends ways to improve it.- Works with vendors in the evaluation and selection of new technologies. Tests and implements new server technologies and software. Provides 24 x 7 coverage to escalate system problems to vendor, help coordinate complex system issues and support on-call staff.- Leads network server projects (including planning, implementing, monitoring, and communicating project status to management). Coordinates server installations, upgrades and fixes. Coordinates the creation and testing of disaster recovery plans.- Develops, administers and supports Network Administration procedures and documentation to assure professional, quality service is provided. Adheres to IS Business Practices and Project Methodology. Ensures team understanding and compliance of all IS Business Practices and Customer Service Standards; addresses compliance issues immediately. Works constructively with vendors and IT partners to ensure on-going service and resolution of issues; participates in vendor contract review and negotiation. Provides 24 x 7 coverage to escalate system problems to vendor, help coordinate complex system issues and support on-call staff.
