Skills Development
CurrentI've had several people ask me what a Skills Development means. I never planned to be done working when I "retired" from State of Michigan employment. I was not emotionally, physically or mentally ready to be done using my talents and skills. Since April of 2016, I have worked in a variety of temporary positions, to evaluate different working environments and different skill sets I wanted to test. I worked in the public sector for a long time, so I wanted to flex my skills a little. My various positions in the last year have included:**11/17 - current = Property Manager with Alden Capital Rentals (specialized in Vacation Rentals By Owner - VRBO)**12/17 - current = PG Group / PG Manufacturing - Specialist assisting on State of Michigan & Municipal licensing requirements **7/17 - 10/17 = Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Campaign Specialist with American Cancer Society (thru Manpower Temporary Agency)**4/17 - 6/17 = Financial Audit Support Specialist with Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetary (thru Office Team Temporary Agency)**1/17 - 3/17 = On-line Sales & Development Agent with Reliable Aftermarket Parts (thru Office Team Temporary Agency)**10/16 - 12/16 = Sales Representative with American Income Life Insurance (I am now a licensed Life Insurance "Resident Producer" with the state of Michigan) **8/16 - 10/16 = Direct Marketing Advisor (door to door sales) with Consumers Energy (thru Manpower Temporary Agency)**4/16 - 8/16 = Unit Service Executive with the Boy Scouts of America (MCC- Chief Okemos District)
