Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Lehrer spent 15 years with the SEC’s Southeast Regional Office prosecuting violations of the federal securities laws involving fraudulent revenue and net income projections, reporting violations, illegal touting by a stock newsletter writer, excessive markups of municipal bonds, unregistered securities sales, fraudulent financial statements, misappropriation, broker-dealer books and records violations, accountant liability and fraudulent financial statements, insider trading, failure to supervise registered representatives, fraudulent prospectuses and press releases, sale of unregistered securities by government securities dealers, and a $64 million pyramid scheme. Mr. Lehrer also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, participating in the U.S. Attorney’s investigation and prosecution of cases involving insider trading, money laundering, obstruction of justice, and mail and wire fraud. He has also participated in criminal prosecutions with the FBI and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
