About Fred Rivera

Fred Rivera is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel for the Seattle Mariners, and on the Board of Directors for Heritage Bank (NASDAQ: HFWA), Delta Dental of Washington, and OAC Services, Inc. Fred is an experienced corporate executive, community and business leader, distinguished attorney, and board director with a 25+ year track record of leading operational excellence, including in the sports industry, federal government agencies, and professional services businesses. Fred has a strong reputation as an innovative thought leader, consensus builder, and champion for diversity and inclusion. In his role at the Mariners, in addition to overseeing the Club’s legal and government affairs department, Fred has led new business initiatives relating to real estate development, and manages several of the Club's external functions, including community relations, government affairs, and the Mariners Care Foundation. He also served on the board of ROOT Sports--the Club-owned regional sports network. Fred is active in the community, having held board and leadership positions with the United Way of King County (Past Chair), Rainier Scholars, Downtown Seattle Association, Association of Washington Businesses, Legal Foundation of Washington, Latina/o Bar Association of Washington (Past President), and Hispanic National Bar Association. Prior to joining the Mariners, Fred was the Managing Partner of the Seattle office of Perkins Coie LLP. The Puget Sound Business Journal recognized Fred as a 2022 "Director of the Year."
