About Frederick Van Riper, R-Plc

How are you feeling on the inside? Are you tired of fighting to “fit in”? Of chasing success while wondering if the life you’re building truly reflects the man you want to be?Here’s the truth: Becoming the leader your family, team, and future need starts within.I’m here to help you do 3 things:1️⃣ Connect with, attune to, and align with your core values—the ones that define your authentic self.2️⃣ Build habits that support those values, so you can lead your life and relationships with clarity, confidence, and consistency.3️⃣ Strengthen your mental and emotional fitness to handle life’s pressures with purpose and grace.Because perfecting the personal leads to professional success—but rarely the other way around. For years, I believed being a great man, husband, and father meant doing more: working harder, fixing problems, and keeping emotions locked away. It worked—until it didn’t. I realized that true leadership isn’t about external achievements; it’s about inner alignment. Now, I help ambitious men who feel stuck, stretched, or disconnected at home. Men who crave deeper relationships, meaningful impact, and a legacy that’s built on love and connection—not just professional accolades. The core philosophies that guide my work:Philosophy #1:Fitness of the Mind Is the Foundation for SuccessPhilosophy #2:Being a Provider Means More Than MoneyPhilosophy #3:Lead Yourself Before You Lead OthersPhilosophy #4:Men Deserve Community and ConnectionWhen you work with me, we tackle the root of what’s holding you back—not just the surface. Together, we’ll break old patterns, build lasting habits, and activate the best version of you—the one your family and your future need.Maybe you’ve read the books, attended workshops, and watched the videos. And yet, you’re still battling the same challenges. That’s because most solutions only address the symptoms, not the root cause. You don’t need another quick fix or motivational quote. You need transformation—and that starts with one bold step forward. This isn’t about doing more. It’s about becoming more—by aligning who you are with the life you want to lead.𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡?What would your life look like if, in just 90 days, you became the leader your family and team truly need?𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞. Dads Interrupted began as a LinkedIn newsletter in the late summer / early fall of 2023, with the idea to spark deeper thinking and a confrontation with myself. I've been a dad for 12+ years, but the role of dad is one that I didn't and don't always get right. Yet, husband and father are my two most important roles. When my father passed away in December 2021, I began to question a lot of things. He struggled with depression and addiction and seclusion. The way I see it, he was a dad interrupted. I love my dad and by and large, he was a great father in the ways he knew how to be - provider, protector, and instructor. But there was a darkness that prevented him from fully embracing and confronting his own demons and obstacles. I felt like I needed to share my story, in the hopes it would inspire other dads and men to do the same, or at the very least, help them to question themselves and ignite someone, anyone to think more deeply and engage more fully in their personal development and their own success at home.As men, we are told so many stories of how to perform to "fit in" and be "man enough," when the truth is, we are already enough AND we should strive to get better everyday. The podcast's GOALS are to inspire people to live their truths, to reject, or at least question, the "rules" that we've been socialized, modeled and expected to follow, and to have impactful, vulnerable conversations that explore topics and confront challenges we face as men, dads, and workers, and inspire the listeners to ask better questions and demand better answers from themselves. It is my sincere hope that through this inquisition of fatherhood and masculinity, we learn something new together, we grow together, we connect through our discord and disagreements, and we leave these conversations with fresh perspectives and insights to improve the relationships that are most important to us.
