After working as ERP consultant for the largest consulting firms in Paris, Frederic commenced an International Civil Service career in 2002 as a Treasury Officer for UNESCO, where, among his other projects, he implemented a SAP solution for international payments. Since then, Frederic served the UN in multiple capacities from Administrative Officer for UNESCO in Rabat and New York, to Deputy Treasurer for the UN in Geneva (UNOG), to the most recent role as the Head of Conference Services at International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in Montreal, since 2011. He revamped entirely the operations, professionalizing conference services and automating logistics management for ICAO. Frederic is responsible for weighing and balancing the needs of many international and diplomatic events (about 500 a year) within confines of a budget and limited resources. Recently, Frederic has spearheaded the implementation of Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015) for Conference services and setting the path for the Sustainable Events certification (ISO 20121).In his free time, Frederic can be found sailing on Saint-Laurent's lakes, skiing on Quebec's slopes or climbing rocks and ice. He is also a wine amateur, which earned him an advanced certificate in wines and spirits from WSET.Frederic graduated from the School of Business and Economics from Nice-Sophia Antipolis where he earned his master's degree in management. He also holds a post-master's degree in finance from the University of Nice (France), is a graduate of the Venue Management School (IAVM) and a certified ISO Lead Auditor for Quality and Environmental Systems. He is now a Doctorate candidate in Administration at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada).
