Creativity is everywhere. I can see it in the smallest things. In everyday situations like children playing or passers-by on the street. It is to be discovered in nature and even in the most dull places. Everyone has some creativity deep inside, but we just have to open our mind and soul to it. Creativity is a game… from which new creations can arise every time.I’m Frederik Knapen and I try to turn creativity into creation on a daily basis. Medialife is an audiovisual production agency located in Hasselt and Antwerp, founded by a good friend and me in the year 2007. We focus on creating compelling digital content and videos that move people. Medialife tells clients’ stories with impact, where I take on the role of CEO and creative director.I am a dedicated networker actively involved in various governing bodies of networks within Voka Limburg and VKW Limburg. Additionally, I strive to inspire other young entrepreneurs and am actively engaged in the startup Clipido. Clipido shifts the way businesses use video and photos on a daily basis by providing them with cutting-edge technology to solve their media-related problems. Another passion of mine is traveling. Countries that attract me the most are Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. To share my passion for these regions with other people, me and some friends founded the travel agency 2travel2safaris. In addition to my busy life as an entrepreneur, the act of painting brings me immeasurable peace. The beautiful serenity I experience when I travel to nature areas and look at a landscape; that’s the calming feeling I recognize when I paint. Something inside us is always telling a story. I try to listen to it and try to transfer this story onto the canvas.
