As a branch manager at KBC Brussels, my job covers a wide range of tasks. First of all, it concerns the management and the growth of the client portfolio of the branch, with an extra commercial focus on small-sized businesses. I am also a direct contact person for medium-sized companies, wealthy clients & clients in the social profit sector. As a branch manager, I take care of the well-being of my team members, with a focus on personal evolution, overall skill development & general attitude, whilst giving freedom & making sure that change is not something to be afraid of. It goes without saying that there’s also the responsibility for meeting the annual objectives, dealing with risk, inspection & compliance files and handling first line complaints. KBC Brussels is one of the ambitious and strategic projects of KBC Belgium. It started with merging ex-CBC and ex-KBC branches in the Brussels region with a main focus on selective growth and making sure the entire group becomes the reference within the Belgian banking landscape. One of the key success factors is getting out of your branch, meeting key players in the surrounding neighbourhood & participating in Brussels’ events and business clubs. Having moved to Brussels about 22 years ago, I fell head over heels in love with the biggest Belgian city. I particularly adore his art nouveau architecture, neighbourhoods such as Ixelles & the upcoming North area & the European and cosmopolite dimension which you can sense everywhere. In Brussels, I made a lot of friends which also came from the region where I grew up, together with people from the USA, Spain, France, etc. If I am not travelling abroad, you can regularly find me in a restaurant, running in parks or reading a good non-fiction book.
